Driving Sports TV: Audi A7 vs. Acura TL Rematch

In a rematch from a previous Driving Sports episode, round two of Acura vs. Audi brings us an AWD duel between the 2012 Acura TL SH-AWD and the 2012 Audi A7 Quattro. In the first episode we saw the 2011 Acura TL with a slightly quicker time over the 2011 Audi S4; but with a newer TL and an Audi A7 being used instead of the S4, we may get different results on a smaller, more technical road course.

Pretty big price difference but comparable specs on paper. Even though the TL has a slightly better horsepower-to-weight ratio, the Audi has a pretty big advantage in the torque department.

I’m willing to bet the TL will be more reliable all around and will cost you less in the long run 🙂

When you tested the 2010 TL against the S4 what tires were on it. I know on mine it came with Michelin PS2’s so if those are all seasons on your current tester, then what were on the Audi? The tires can certainly be the difference in the course you drove. I like the A7 (seriously considered it this spring) but the TL is a better car in my opinion.

Aw, this was a really nice post. In idea I would like to put in writing like this additionally – taking time and actual effort to make a very good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and by no means seem to get something done.
