Is this the 2014 Acura MDX?
Edmunds’ Inside Line caught this mystery SUV on a drive by in Arizona this week. The grille outline peeks through just enough to hint at Acura DNA, but not enough to make any formal confirmation.
The majority peg it as the 2014 Acura MDX, and I’d say it’s a pretty good guess. It definitely appears to have the “shield”, but to me the shape of the emblem looks unusually round to contain the Acura logo.

Next Generation Acura RDX Spotted in China - Image Source: China Car Times
Acura looks to continue their growth in China with the addition of the next generation RDX. China Car Times has caught the RDX protoype testing in China just a week away from its big debut in Detroit.
Covered in the usual “camouflage” print, a few small tears to the front show just enough to reveal a refreshed grille and a peek at the new headlights. It’s looking like the new RDX will adopt a few styling cues from the current MDX which seems to be working well for Acura in the midsize SUV segment.
If true, the RDX will joining the TL, RL, MDX and the recently launched ZDX in the Chinese market.
Remember to mark January 9th on your calendar, because it’s going to be a big day for Acura at the 2012 North American International Auto Show. Keep it on Acura Connected for all the latest updates.

Acura Rumors
The rumors look to be true - Acura is bringing us an all new “sub-TSX” model. Though not officially named yet, the camouflaged Acura prototype referred to as the “new RSX” was caught on camera by Brenda Priddy and Company this past weekend.
Sporting a slightly modified version of the Acura “shield” grille, the design definitely has Acura DNA. Comparing it to the current TSX, it does indeed look smaller with a noticeably shorter rear end and trunk.
There has been mention of an Acura hybrid coming by the end of 2012 so I wouldn’t be too surprised if this was it. It would certainly answer many questions about its size and its position in the current Acura lineup.
“First Photos! 2014 Acura RSX Sedan!
We just spied the newest Acura: An upscale sedan riding on the Civic platform and due to arrive for the 2014 model year!
RSX? That’s right! Sources are speculating that the TSX will be discontinued after the 2013 model year and the slot in the lineup will be replaced with the familiar RSX name.
The sedan, as shown here in pre-production prototype form, will arrive in the first half of 2013, with a coupe and possible convertible to follow a year later.
Although riding on the Civic platform, this is no rebadged Honda. The RSX will be larger than its Civic cousin and, therefore, have unique styling and sheetmetal.” – Brenda Priddy & Company

Acura RDX
Everyone’s favorite auto-paparazzi Brenda Priddy and Company caught a 2013 Acura RDX testing in a desert recently. Sadly, photos of the camouflaged prototype didn’t reveal too much. The Acura “shield” grille is present and some have noticed the new RDX seems not only shorter in height, but sleeker and a bit more compact. There is still no word yet on confirmed engine options.
“First Photos: 2013 Acura RDX!
You might have to wait till next summer if you want to see the all-new RDX without psychedelic appliques, but we caught a running prototype over the weekend, and except for the black and white dizzy tape, the revamped crossover looked like it could be ready to roll down the assembly line any day.
And speaking of assembly line, production of the RDX will move to East Liberty, Oh., alongside Honda’s CR-V. The RDX will likely go on sale shortly after it’s Honda sibling, and will be available in both front-wheel and all-wheel drive versions.
We’ve heard conflicting speculation regarding powerplants – everything from the return of the first generation’s turbo, to a 2.5-liter inline-four. There’s also been talk about a hybrid offering, but again – there have been conflicting reports as to when the hybrid will be available, but we are anticipating a six-speed automatic transmission.
More details should be trickling out over the next few months.” – Brenda Priddy & Company

Brenda Priddy & Company recently caught a few new shots of the supposed 2012 Acura TL. Though the new photos don’t reveal much more than what we’ve already seen, they do show it at some new angles. They managed to capture an interior shot but it appears there is nothing different from the current model.

2012 Acura TL Spy Shot
The Temple of VTEC has got the scoop on the rumored TL mid-cycle refresh with a spy shots courtesy of Brenda Priddy & Company.
Since the introduction of the 4th generation TL and its controversial “Power Plenum” in 2009, customer response and vehicle sales have not been very positive. This may prompt Acura to release the updated design a few months earlier than expected.
Rumor has it that the 2012 model might hit the dealerships early 2011 with have a toned down grill, new 6-speed automatic transmission and possibly a new V6 engine.
