NSX Prototype Spotted in Australia

An NSX Prototype was spotted a long way from home again, but this time it wasn’t track testing in Germany.

Last week the NSX was caught hot-weather testing in a town called Alice Springs in Northern Territory, Australia. Australian automotive website CarAdvice has collected several photos of the camouflaged vehicle seen around town, which probably wasn’t hard to miss especially with the bright yellow “left hand drive” sticker on the rear. Some have speculated Acura engineers were in Northern Territory to make use of a particular stretch of highway with an open speed limit just outside of Alice Springs.

Spied: 2016 Acura ILX Part 2

2016 Acura ILX

Last month we posted a link to an Edmunds.com gallery that had three images of a partially camouflaged 2016 Acura ILX. A few more higher resolution photos of that same vehicle have now emerged on AutoGuide.com showing even more detail. Again, there are exterior changes all around with the Jewel Eye Headlights and new grille design being some key points.

Acura promises to deliver “a new powertrain, more forceful, sporty exterior styling, and substantially upgraded interior design” for the 2016 model year.See the rest of the spy photos on autoguide.com – 2016 Acura ILX Spotted Playing in the Sun.

Spied: 2016 Acura ILX

2016 Acura ILX

Edmunds.com has posted three photos listed as the 2016 Acura ILX. The images show a partially camouflaged vehicle with definite ILX design cues. Front and rear bumper updates are visible, as well as the addition of Jewel Eye Headlights and a new grille design. This could confirm a shift towards a new grille that was first seen on the Acura Concept SUV-X.

Also noted is the use of seemingly wider rear wheels, which might indicate the possibility of an AWD model for 2016. Earlier this year Autoguide.com reported that all Acura models will be getting an all-wheel-drive option by 2016.

Spied: 2016 Acura ILX?

 2016 Acura ILX

Spy Photographer Brenda Priddy & Company has posted 3 photos of a suspected 2016 Acura ILX test mule.

“2016 Acura ILX – Lots of camo for a last update before the next generation arrives for the 2018 model year.”- Brenda Priddy & Company

The vehicle’s visible greenhouse and tail lights identify it as an ILX, but there are notable changes to the front bumper, and possibly the front fenders and rear bumper. Along with exterior updates, there have been rumors of powertrain changes for the 2016 mid-cycle model change.

2015 Acura TLX Spy Shots from China

2015 Acura TLX Spy Shots

A Chinese website has posted photos of a partially camouflaged China-spec 2015 Acura TLX. These new TLX images don’t reveal much more than previous spy shots, but they do offer more contrast and crisper lines than the last batch which were rather unflattering due to poor light. The lone interior shot shows us an electric parking brake and wood trim.

The North American TLX is set to debut on April 16th at the New York International Auto Show.
