When the Iron Man suit is just a little too much for an afternoon outing, Tony Stark turns to the next best thing: the 2012 Stark Industries Super Car with Tactical Package. Its got style, luxury, performance, fuel ecomomy and technology that would put the Batmobile to shame. Too bad its also priced for billionaire playboys only, at $9,198,000 this one might be out of reach for even Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno.

The maroon colored NSX Roadster could be seen stationed in the “Acura Studio” through the duration of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival in Park City Utah. Revealing very little interior details, a spec sheet similar to the 2012 S.H.I.E.L.D TL gives more information on the upgrades performed by Stark Industries. S.H.I.E.L.D. Evasive Driving Experience

It looks like the lucky winners of the Join S.H.I.E.L.D. campaign had a couple days of fun unleashing some Acuras on a closed road course. Does anyone else think this driving course should come free for all new Acura owners?

The new trailer for Marvel’s The Avengers was released earlier this week and if you looked hard enough you just might of been able to spot the Acura S.H.I.E.L.D. vehicles. I counted a possible total of five Acuras, one which could be the newer S.H.I.E.L.D. TL that was caught on camera here. It also looks like there could be a new S.H.I.E.L.D. MDX with roof sirens and additional fog lights. Check out The Avengers trailer on YouTube or see the attached screenshots below for a closer look. 

Unfortunately the Acura open-top sports car that was spied last month was nowhere to be seen, so you might just have to wait until The Avengers hits theaters May 4, 2012 to see more of the mysterious roadster.

Acura might be the vehicle of choice for Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, but it would appear Tony Stark(Iron Man) will also choose an Acura as his new ride in The Avengers. 

To the surprise of many, a never-before-seen Acura open-top sports car was captured filming on set in New York for The Avengers this past weekend. The maroon-colored mystery Acura has raised a few questions; could this be a concept for an NSX successor or a whole new model? 

Autoblog.com has thankfully done some digging and got a reponse from Acura spokesperson Gary Robinson: 

The open-top sports car that was photographed yesterday is a one-off, fictional car that was made just for the movie and will not be produced.

Chris Hemsworth at the "Thor" Premiere

The “Thor” Hollywood premiere took place Monday evening at the El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles. 

Lead actor Chris Hemsworth arrived on the red carpet in style, stepping out of a black S.H.I.E.L.D. Edition Acura MDX. Also parked on the red carpet was the S.H.I.E.L.D. Edition Acura TL. 

The event was streamed live on marvel.com hosted by Isaiah Mustafa(Old Spice guy). The 2 hour replay can still be seen on www.marvel.com. 

“Thor”, which stars Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Hopkins and Natalie Portman opens in theaters May 6.

Acura S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Desk by Studio Dror

Studio Dror has designed a S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Desk inspired by the Acura/Marvel collaboration in the upcoming movie THOR.

Keeping the Acura theme in mind, the desk is built with light weight materials and a sleek modern design. For the wannabe S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents there are secret compartments, stealthy Bose speakers and an iPod/iPad docking station.
