The Acura “beak” went out with the 2017 TLX, replaced with the new diamond pentagon grille for the 2018 model year. Now for those 2015-2017 TLX owners who might also want to “delete the beak”, these may be some options to consider.
TLX owner Randy(boss02126 on Instagram) created two custom grilles – one is based on the RealTime Racing Acura TLX-GT and the other has an updated look mimicking the 2018 grille. The grilles still retain the same overall “V” shape, and according to Randy, are easy to swap in.
Randy’s TLX now sports a custom A-Spec front bumper that looks like a natural fit for the grille!
UPDATE: A few people have messaged us saying that Randy hasn’t fulfilled their orders, coincidentally his Instagram account has been been closed. We apologize if anyone has been misled, we do not know Randy personally.

Hey guys sorry, just saw your questions. He gives you the option to buy the parts or you can use some from your existing grille. The total for parts are a little over $700 then you have to add shipping to him in Mass. he charges $300 for labor along with shipping back to you. You’re looking at about $1100 total. It may seem like a lot but trust me, you will not be disappointed. It changed the entire look of my TLX. I’m loving it!!
