Significant Sales Increases for Acura

TORRANCE, Calif. – 04/01/2010

Acura’s line of luxury SUVs posted an impressive monthly sales increase of 43.7 percent based on daily selling rate*, with Acura car sales reporting an increase of 15.6 percent. With sales of 3,281 units, the MDX luxury SUV posted a 42.0 percent increase compared to March 2009 sales. Total monthly sales for Acura were 11,722 (up 25.2 percent) while Acura year-to-date** sales totaled 27,793 units, a 14.9 percent increase compared to 2009.

“Acura’s light trucks are hitting a sweet spot with buyers as helped by the fresh new look of the 2010 MDX and RDX,” said Jeff Conrad, vice president of Acura sales. “Add in the all-new ZDX four-door sports coupe and Acura’s luxury SUVs are really hitting full stride.”

Thanks in part to the new SH-AWD 6MT model, the TL performance luxury sedan is gaining significant traction in sales as it was Acura’s best selling model for March with 3,917 units sold, up 16.6 percent. The TSX sports sedan posted sales of 3,072, up 15.6 percent.

Acura Announces February Sales Results
New MDX and RDX SUVs Post Impressive Sales Gains

TORRANCE, Calif. – 03/02/2010

The MDX luxury SUV led Acura’s February sales with 3,266 units sold, up an impressive 64.9 percent. The new RDX crossover SUV also posted a significant gain of 19.9 percent with 850 units sold. Acura year-to-date* sales reached 16,071, up 7.9 percent compared to 2009.

“The MDX has long been a category leader, and sales continue to be strong despite limited supply,” said Jeff Conrad, vice president of Acura sales. “The MDX’s fresh look, new 6-speed transmission and technology are hitting a sweet spot with customers.”

The TL performance luxury sedan led Acura’s car sales for February with 2,410 units sold, down 3.2 percent, while the TSX sports sedan followed closely with 2,123 units sold, down 7.4 percent. Acura’s combined sedan sales were down 6.1 percent, to 4,664, while light-truck sales posted a 58.9 percent gain with total sales of 4,275. Total Acura sales for February totaled 8,939, up 16.7 percent.

Acura Announces January Sales Results
MDX Luxury SUV Posts Sales Increase

TORRANCE, Calif. – 02/02/2010

Total Acura sales for January reached 7,132, off 1.7 percent versus January 2009, based on the daily selling rate*. The MDX luxury SUV posted a 20.3 percent increase for January and was the best-selling Acura model for the month with sales of 2,358 units.

“The significant enhancements made to the MDX this year have kept it front and center in the luxury SUV segment,” said Jeff Conrad, vice president of Acura sales. “With its bold new styling, added performance and technology upgrades, the MDX continues to set a high standard.”

The TL performance luxury sedan posted January sales of 1,986 units and was the top-selling Acura sedan for the month. The TSX sports sedan reached monthly sales of 1,806 units. The RDX turbocharged SUV sold 700 units for the month. In its first full month on sale, the ZDX four-door sports coupe posted sales of 172 units.
