According to MotorTrend, a recent press roundtable According to MotorTrend, a recent press roundtable with Acura executives offered a glimpse at where the brand is headed, and there’s some good news if you love cars.

“The plan is to keep sedans in our lineup,” said Gary Robinson, Acura’s vice president of auto strategy. “They’re core to our lineup. If sedans in general went away entirely we’d have to reevaluate, but the segment has stabilized.”

There weren’t any specifics on which sedans might be coming, but the Integra is expected to get a replacement around 2029.

The next MDX has reportedly been pushed back to 2031, with the ADX following in 2032. But that doesn’t mean they’ll be sitting around unchanged until then. Both the ADX and Integra could get some mid-cycle powertrain updates along the way.

And there could be some fun stuff on the horizon. Acura isn’t ruling out putting its striking Nexera coupe into production, with gas, hybrid or EV power all potentially on the table depending on what customers want.

If you could bring ONE Acura car model back, which one would it be? TLX? NSX? LEGEND?

The NEXERA Vision concept introduces a new exterior and interior design language for the brand, with some of its styling expected to appear on the next generation Acura RDX Hybrid.

Finished in Matte Titanium, the sleek coupe features dual hinge butterfly doors, active aerodynamics and a distinctive new lighting signature. Look closely and you’ll notice the headlights and taillights were inspired by the “A” mark in the Acura logo. We’ve already seen this new taillight design on the Acura Hybrid SUV Prototype.

Inside, the NEXERA Vision features a sharp, contemporary cockpit with sustainable materials, forged carbon and gloss black finishes. Materials include recycled aluminum, Alcantara and CircuLeather.

Acura will unveil the NEXERA Vision at The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering, on Friday, August 14, before showcasing the concept on the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance Concept Lawn on Sunday, August 16.
