In December of 2019, Tyson Hugie added yet another car to his already epic Acura collection – a 1999 Acura Integra GS-R in Super Sonic Blue Pearl.
Check out that colour… “Super Sonic” sounds about right! The colour was only offered on 1998 and 1999 models, and according to the “DC2 Integra” Facebook page, only 1,128 Super Sonic Blue Pearl GS-Rs were made in 1999.
Here’s some of the backstory from Tyson:
“The car itself is a California car with a clean title, in stock configuration which is exceptionally difficult to find nowadays. It has all the original equipment down to its AM/FM CD player. I bought it on Christmas Eve 2019. The story goes that my Integra was originally purchased from Santa Monica Acura in 1999 by the 18-year-old son of a film industry executive. It has the optional rare underbody kit and fog lamps. It now shares the garage with a GS-R from another generation: My 1992 in Aztec Green. One day I’ll have to race them against each other.”
