Two-time Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen took part in a variety of activities at this weekend’s Honda Racing THANKS DAY, which took place at Motegi, Japan. The F1 cars that Max drove to win the 2021 and 2022 Drivers’ Championships were of course powered by Honda engines, and as a token of appreciation, Honda surprised Max with a new Honda NSX Type S. Check out some screen captures from the live stream:
Max has actually driven the second-generation NSX on a few occasions, and was filmed doing a lap around COTA in a very similar Gotham Gray Acura NSX Type S, in 2021. He even jokingly asks Honda F1 chief Masashi Yamamoto, if he gets to keep it. A year and two championships later, Max, your wish has been granted. Enjoy the NSX Type S!
