Asking AI to Render Iconic Movie Cars as Acuras

In this edition of “ask AI”, let’s take a look at some famous movie vehicles, rendered as Acuras of course! There’s actually a decent list of pop-culture cars to choose from if you include TV series, but I decided to go with a cast of big budget A-list vehicles that allowed for some visual variety. Here are my top 6 renders.

Acura MDX x Jurassic Park
As the official tour vehicle of Jurassic Park, make your escape from rampaging Tyrannosaurus Rexes with a beefed-up Acura MDX.

Acura RDX x Ghostbusters
The ghost fighting vehicle known as “Ecto-1” gets an RDX upgrade. A big time jump from the original model, a 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor first seen in Ghostbusters(1984).

Acura TLX x Mad Max
The “Pursuit Special” was the vehicle driven by Max Rockatansky from the Mad Max Franchise. In this iteration I incorporated details from Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, starring Mel Gibson.

Acura NSX x Back to the Future
One of the most iconic movie cars of all time, the time machine from the Back to the Future trilogy. Here the 1981 Delorean DMC-12 gets replaced with a first-generation Acura NSX, fitted with gullwing doors, a flux capacitor and all the time-travelling mods from Doc Brown.

Acura NSX x Pixar Cars
On a lighter note, this is a fun feature from the animated film series Cars from Disney/Pixar. The main character Lightning McQueen, wasn’t based on one particular car, but rather a combination of designs. A stock car, a Le Mans endurance racer, the Ford GT40 and Corvette have all been mentioned as inspiration. Here he takes the form of a fast and friendly NSX Type S. Acura in NASCAR?!

Acura NSX x Batman
The list wouldn’t be complete without the Batmobile. AI rendered a couple of epic NSX x Batmobile concoctions, but this one took the prize for it’s evolution of the NC1 NSX design and its majestic rendition of the Batcave.
