Acura has made it a habit of debuting cars at Monterey Car Week. In the past they’ve unveiled the Acura Type S Concept, the NSX Type S and the 2024 Acura ZDX, just to name a few.
This year Acura has announced the debut of another concept vehicle, but it’s not the sports car or NSX replacement you may have hoped for.
According to the press release, the concept vehicle is a “segment defying sport utility vehicle” that will preview Acura’s next generation EV model. That’s right, Acura is already looking ahead to their next all-electric SUV. The good news – it will be built in Ohio, based on Acura’s own dedicated EV platform.
Acura also included a teaser image that shows the concept’s taillight design spanning across the rear fascia with the ACURA wordmark below. We saw a similar trend last year on the Performance Electric Vision Design Study that Acura also teased at Monterey. Who knows, maybe we’ll get another surprise this year.
Stay tuned for more info next week. Full press release below.
