With 573 horsepower and SH-AWD, I’d think twice about trying to outrun this police car. Japan’s Mie Prefecture police force recently unveiled a new addition to their fleet: a second-generation NC1 Honda NSX.
The NSX was donated by a Japanese real estate company called “Smart”. Toshiya Kobayashi, president of Smart, had this to say: “I strongly believe that if a Honda NSX patrol car runs in Suzuka, which is Honda’s home, people who come to watch the race and children will become more interested in and admire the police.”
The NSX police patrol car was unveiled at a donation ceremony on April 21, 2025 at Honda’s Suzuka Circuit.
Modifications include a roof-attached light bar, standard black and white police colors, the emergency telephone number “110” as its license plate, and Japan’s National Police Agency logo in place of the Honda badge.
