Based on Acura.com’s Future Vehicle page, a refreshed 2019 Acura ILX is just around the corner.
While the current generation ILX feels like it should be nearing the end of its lifecycle, new patent images uncovered by Car and Driver suggest it will be getting an extended lifeline with a facelift for the 2019 model year.
The images show a revised ILX with the diamond pentagon grille and restyled headlights. The updates appear to be grafted onto the body of the 2013-2015 ILX design, which means there will likely be other changes – exposed exhaust perhaps?
With new turbocharged engines already available in the current Honda Civic, we can only hope the ILX would be getting some big changes sooner rather than later.

going to be honest…completely disappointed in Acura…used to be leader now is a follower…need a new car to replace my 16′ ILX, something exciting like the new infiniti G60, not another nose job on a now 6 years plus design….
An ILX Customer very dissapointed of the ILx 2019 if it will look like the preview.
Nothing has beem changed it shows the commitment of Acuras Precision crafted Performance.
very dissapointed.
This shit is sad we need at redesign coming for a Acura owner with tha turbo v6 under hood with a brand new Acura exclusive chassis
I’d wait to see other changes before making a decision to jump to another brand, honda and acura have working on a few things for a while that could possobly surface on the ilx to make it a more attractive buy. Im confidant the ilx will be a beter car
