Acura posted a different kind of teaser today, announcing an upcoming anime series called Type S: Chiaki’s Journey. As a huge fan of anime, I can’t express how excited I was to see the clip!
As the Official Automaker and a Presenting Sponsor of the Sundance Film Festival, Acura is debuting the new four-part anime series, Chiaki’s Journey, during the Festival:
“The series takes us on an exhilarating adventure centered on Chiaki, a young driving protégé, and her wise uncle Noboru. When emotions heat up with Chiaki and her nemesis Erich at the local racetrack, Noboru steps in to mentor Chiaki as she prepares to put her family legacy on the line in the biggest race of her life.”
Based on the teaser, the visuals look great, and the character, presumably Chiaki, will be driving some badass Acuras! So far we’ve noticed the white 3rd-generation Integra in the intro, an NSX Type S, a TLX Type S, and an MDX Type S. Could we perhaps get a glimpse of the new Integra?
