Let’s face it, the Acura MDX was never built to be an off-road beast. But equipped with VTM-4 or SH-AWD, this 7-passenger luxury SUV is definitely no pushover either.

With a quick YouTube search I found some clips of brave MDX owners willing to push their vehicles beyond the boundaries of paved roads. While it looks like no MDXs were hurt in the making of these videos, I wouldn’t recommend attempting these feats.

This clip doesn’t go off road, but this first gen MDX owner just barely makes it into his garage through a thick layer of fresh snow without winter tires. Note the MDX also doubles as a great snow blower.
