With the second-generation Acura NSX officially debuting next week, here’s a look back at some of the iterations we’ve seen since the introduction of the first concept in 2012.
January 9th, 2012 – The Acura NSX Concept debuts at the 2012 North American International Auto Show.
April 11th, 2012 – Robert Downey Jr. drives the Acura NSX “Avengers Roadster” onto the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of Marvel’s the Avengers.
January 15th, 2013 – The Next Evolution of the NSX Concept debuts at the 2013 North American International Auto Show with an interior design concept.
August 4th, 2013 – An Acura NSX Prototype laps the Mid-Ohio track prior to the 2013 Honda Indy 200 Race.
August 15th, 2013 – Honda unveils the NSX CONCEPT-GT, a racer designated for entry in the GT500 class of the 2014 SUPER GT Series.
April 6th, 2014 – Five teams debut with the NSX CONCEPT-GT in full race livery for SUPER GT Round 1.
July 2014 – A camouflaged NSX Prototype with significant exterior updates is caught testing at the Nürburgring. A second version of this prototype returned to the Nürburgring in October.
December 17th, 2014 – Acura announces the debut of the production NSX at the 2015 North American International Auto Show on Jan. 12 at 11:50 a.m. ET.
