Over the last week, patent images depicting the new 2021 Acura TLX and MDX were discovered on French Forum Worldscoop. They are said to have come from the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

While it’s likely that these are actual production or concept designs, we want to remind everyone that patent images are ridiculously unflattering. Let’s reserve judgement for images that have details, color and real wheels.

That said, what we do like what we see. Elements from the Type-S concept have clearly been integrated into the second generation 2021 Acura TLX. Proportions reveal a longer dash-to-axle ratio as well as a short rear deck. The fourth generation 2021 Acura MDX seems to have gotten a tad longer and sleeker.

There’s still no official announcement from Acura on debuts or production.
