Tony Stark won’t be in Avengers: Doomsday this Dec Tony Stark won’t be in Avengers: Doomsday this December, but how cool would it be to roll up to the theatre in his NSX Roadster?

The one-of-a-kind Acura NSX used by Stark in Marvel’s 2012 film The Avengers will hit the auction block at Willow Springs on October 17, with every dollar of the winning bid going to a charity of the winner’s choosing.

Built specifically for its cameo in the film, the custom NSX Roadster was styled after the second-generation NSX Concept that debuted earlier that year. Its dark maroon-red colour is said to be finished in the same shade of red as Iron Man’s iconic suit.

Underneath the custom bodywork is a genuine NSX — a 1991 first-generation model that donated its bones to the project.

Set for its public debut at the Paris Motor Show, this striking restomod perfectly blends Japanese engineering with Italian design.

Here are the key highlights:

• Naturally aspirated V6 tuned by JUDD Power, delivering 414 bhp to the rear wheels.

• Custom Inconel exhaust system engineered to replicate the high-revving scream of 1990s GP engines.

• All-new carbon-fiber body panels bring the total dry weight down to just 1,250 kg.

• Reinforced original chassis with 4-way adjustable KW dampers and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes.

• Retains the original ergonomic layout while adding a digital driver display and sleek touchscreen.

Production is strictly limited to just 35 bespoke units worldwide, with each one fully customizable through a dedicated commissioning program.

It’s been confirmed that the Acura MDX Type S will It’s been confirmed that the Acura MDX Type S will no longer be offered after the 2026 model year.

Reports suggest the pause is tied to uncertainty surrounding new EPA standards for the 2027 model year, which could impact the Type S and its more powerful 355-horsepower 3.0-liter turbocharged V6.

For 2027 and beyond Acura will apply many of the premium features and styling elements from the Type S to other MDX trims.

With the MDX Type S on hiatus and the TLX Type S discontinued in 2025, the Integra Type S will be the only Type S model remaining in Acura’s lineup.

As for the future of Acura performance variants, the automaker provided this statement to Road & Track:

“Additionally, outstanding performance will remain a key focus of the Acura brand in the future. As previously announced, we will begin introducing hybrid-electric models to the Acura lineup in the coming years, delivering new levels of performance for the brand.”
