We’ve seen the next-generation Acura MDX in Arizona and around the Nürburgring this year, but so far the Acura test crew have done a fine job keeping it tucked under those camo sheets.
Based on the spy photos and the styling cues of recently released Acura models, it’s certain that the MDX will receive the new updated grille to follow suit. Although when I look at those spy shots, it seems to me there is something a bit different about the grille compared to the ones found on the new ILX, RDX and RLX Concept. It’s possible they might give their current, top-selling model something a little extra when it is expected to go on sale next year.
Above is a rendering from AcuraZine member Type34, who combined the current MDX with a few aspects of the 2013 RDX and some lines from the spied prototype. The next-generation MDX will of course get a full body redesign, but it’s a rough idea of what the front fascia might resemble. What are your thoughts?
Thanks again to Type34 for the photoshop work.

I hope for the headlights to be closer to current model than to RDX. Grille and fogs housing is probably very close.
I think he’s got it all wrong. I think the use of generic headlamps and front markers indicate something a little less mainstream. I’m going to guess it may have the headlamps of the RL and possibly the same front fender treatment.
