More Footage of the 2014 Acura MDX Prototype on the Nürburgring

Acura MDX Prototype at the Nürburgring

There’s no better place to develop a vehicle’s performance than on Germany’s world famous Nürburgring. Acura Engineers continue to push the prototype through the grueling track to ensure the next-generation Acura MDX will stay ahead of the competition when it is finally unveiled next year.

The latest video of the MDX Prototype comes from international site worldcarfans.com. The video is of higher quality than the one posted earlier this week so we get a slightly better look at some of the lines as the camo sheet pushes against the front face.

Have a look at the clip and some enhanced screenshots below.

  1. NOT HAPPY!

SH-AWD seems to be doing its thing here. Thats good that Acura is keeping it for the MDX. The V6 sounds a bit tame. Maybe this is the 3.7L it used to be, could be the new Direct Injected 3.5L. BTW, the Direct Injected 3.5’s are not True VTEC’s. They don’t even have a true VTEC head. smh, Honda you do so much wrong.

When will the day come when people enjoy the vehicle and not care if it has V-VTAKKKK BRO?! True V-Tec? Who cares? It’s an MDX. Not a race car.

Some people do care, otherwise the X5-M, X6-M, ML63 AMG, Cayenne Turbo, etc. wouldn’t exist.

Acura has never played that territory, that’s the point he’s trying to make.

People will have to realize that sport and honda have been and always will be intertwined with each other and since VTEC is one of the brand’s more notable technologies, enthusiasts will ask about it. Besides why wouldn’t an enthusiast (yes, enthusiasts buy SUVs) want low end torque, midrange, and top end power?

0:50, do i see a Moon Roof in the front and a panoramic roof for the back…? About time Acura. No one buys the ZDX, but everyone buys the MDX, so now every cane get the Glass Roof!
