Imagine getting pulled over by an NSX police car? Imagine getting pulled over by an NSX police car? While the new NC1 NSX patrol car was unveiled this week, an NA1 NSX has been a part of the Tochigi Prefecture police fleet since the 90s. There are even scale car models based on it!
With 573 horsepower and SH-AWD, I’d think twice With 573 horsepower and SH-AWD, I’d think twice about trying to outrun this police car. Japan’s Mie Prefecture Police force recently unveiled a new addition to their fleet: a second-generation NC1 Honda NSX. The NSX was donated by a Japanese real estate company called “Smart”. Toshiya Kobayashi, president of Smart, had this to say: “I strongly believe that if a Honda NSX patrol car runs in Suzuka, which is Honda’s home, people who come to watch the race and children will become more interested in and admire the police.” The NSX police patrol car was unveiled at a donation ceremony on April 21, 2025 at Honda’s Suzuka Circuit. Modifications include a roof-attached light bar, standard black and white police colors, the emergency telephone number “110” as its license plate, and Japan’s National Police Agency logo in place of the Honda badge.
